Best Deal guide

How Best Deal works.

When several promotions could apply to the same basket, the answer is not always to choose one discount or stack everything. QixolPromo evaluates qualifying promotions and determines the appropriate combination using Best Deal and your configured promotion rules.

Worked example

Best Deal is about the best compatible combination, not simply one winning promotion.

Imagine a customer has four qualifying products in their basket. Several offers are available, and two of them compete for some of the same products.

1
The basket

Shampoo £10 · Conditioner £10 · Shower Gel £8 · Moisturiser £12

Basket value: £40
2
Three qualifying offers
Offer ABuy Shampoo + Conditioner together for £15Save £5
Offer B20% off Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel when buying 3Save £5.60
Offer C25% off MoisturiserSave £3
3
QixolPromo evaluates the overlap

Offers A and B compete because they use some of the same products. Offer C applies to a different product and can remain compatible with the better of those competing offers.

4
Best compatible outcome

QixolPromo selects Offer B for the Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel, while Offer C can also apply to the Moisturiser.

Offer B saving£5.60
Offer C saving£3.00
Total saving£8.60

The important point is that Best Deal does not have to mean choosing one promotion for the whole basket. QixolPromo can find the best combination of compatible promotions across it.
